Regarding Election Mail Received for Someone Not at Your Address
Under the City’s election law, the City is required to send election material to all registered voters. The vast majority of registered voters are registered on the State Voter Registry which is managed by the Prince George’s Board of Elections. The City does not have the authority to make updates or remove voters from the State Voter Registry. The process followed to update and maintain the State Voter Registry is outlined here.
If you receive election mail for someone no longer living at your address please mark “return to sender” and return via the USPS. If you are able to contact the individual that is no longer at your address, please encourage them to change their address with the State of Maryland through the State’s website. If the individual has moved out of the State of Maryland, he or she can remove themselves from the voter registry by completing this form.
